The historical Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, was  founded and organized in 1865 under the Pastorate of the Reverend Burrell York with 16 members. Mt Chapel is a Bible-based church located in Shreveport, Louisiana within the Mooretown community and Rev. Clarence Rice is the current  Pastor.
