They worshiped in this building for two years. The fifth Church was erected in 1923 under the administration of Reverend J. R. Martin. The sixth Church which is the present Church was erected under the administration of Reverend Walter A. Jones 1955.

In the month of September 1954 The Mount Chapel Missionary Baptist Church was under construction. The building was constructed by Mr. Hart Maxie of Frierson, LA, and the blue print was drawn by Deacon Samuel Clayton, Deacon Alfred Lee and Deacon A. D. Bowman of the Mount Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. In January of 2001, under the leadership of Pastor Clarence Rice, Mount Chapel purchased land on Broadway with ongoing plans to erect another church in the near future. With God's blessings we presently have blue prints being drawn of our new sanctuary; and are now in the planning stage of building.
We thank GOD for the many faithful members that are now gone on that prayed for this local body to continue on, and we pray that we continue to have that same prayer of continuance and love for one another.
